Basic Functions

Position provides assistance to patients and providers with direct and indirect patient care. Medical Office Technician/Certified Medical Assistant works under the direction of the clinical provider and office manager. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited CAAHEP or ABHES Certified Medical Assistant course & registry by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT). General knowledge or medical ethics and confidentiality Zero to six months experience under the supervision of a physician in a clinical medical office setting with phlebotomy and medication administration Preferred Qualifications: Medical terminology Basic first aid knowledge and current CPR certification.
